What’s your favorite band that’s never been mentioned on this sub before?

Mine’s November Növelet.

My local grocery store plays goth music sometimes

I work at a grocery store, and I guess the managers have a Spotify playlist for the music they put on in the store. One of my first times shopping as a customer, they played The Cure, and now, as a cashier, I get to listen to quite a bit of other goth music during the night. I have no clue who's adding these songs to the playlist, but I'm really glad they are. It's hard to find goths in my small city, let alone work at a place that sometimes plays goth music, so I just wanted to share because it's such a crazy thing to me 😭

The Music Subculture Debate

It is so strange to me to see people arguing against goth being a music based subculture, when that is the main thing that cemented me as a goth. Yes, the fashion and stuff can be fun, but when I discovered goth music, it's like I had found a part of me that was missing. I listen to other genres, but none really feel like home as much as goth music does. So, it kinda hurts when people just dismiss it or act like it's so hard to get into. I also used to run into so many "Goth was only in the 80's and is dead now" people and that also really upsets me because there is amazing new music out every year. I just wish more people would appreciate the evolution of goth music and love goth for what it is! This is just me venting I guess.
